The goal of Community Risk Reduction is to provide a resilient and sustainable community, by reducing risk of injury and loss of life and property from the effects of fire and other emergencies or events.
The Fire Department partners with other organizations to assist in reducing these risks through public education and training sessions. Together we focus on activities that will prepare the communities to take care of themselves in the period of immediately following a local disaster. It is commonly accepted that government services may not be available for up to 72 hours following a major disaster.
Woodside Fire Protection District’s public safety personnel will make every effort to meet the needs of local citizens as soon as possible.
