The District operates out of an Administrative Office and three stations, and responds to about 2200 incidents per year. The Administrative Officers are located at 808 Portola Rd., Bldg C in Portola Valley. The Woodside Fire Station 7 houses Engine 7, Rescue 7, Engine 507 (brush rig), Emergency Rescue Vehicle 7 (off road, trail rescue) and a Battalion 2. The Portola Valley Fire Station 8 houses a Engine 8, and Water Tender 108. The Emerald Hills Fire Station 19 houses Engine 19 and Engine 119.
The Woodside Fire Operations Division roles and responsibilities are to provide an efficient and safe operating strategy that adheres to County and District Policies and Guidelines. We also maintain our fleet and all associated tools and equipment to maintain a constant state of readiness to respond not only in our district but throughout the County and State.
The Operations Division is also responsible for the Health and Wellness program, Safety Committee and Loss Reduction; which contributes to the organization’s success. The Operations Division also supports other divisions and programs within our organization, including Fire Prevention Division and Fuel Mitigation Program.
Woodside Fire Protection District provides services to our community through several organizational Divisions. Our primary mission, to protect life, property and the environment through prevention, education, preparedness, and emergency response, is achieved through an organization structure that enhances our ability to serve with efficiency and clearly defined goals.
