Home MenuFuel Mitigation Division
Established in 2005, The division began as a Chipper Program with 2 people working seasonally in the summertime and has grown into a multifunctioning Fuel Mitigation Division. Constantly evolving and developing into a division dedicated to reducing the mass amount of vegetation for not only forest health but the safety of homeowners, property, and environment from the risk of a wildfire.
Our team consists of a 6-person crew (including a Fuel Management Engineer) with expanding knowledge on tree care and identification as well as habitat maintenance and awareness. Our team works collaboratively with Public Education, Wildland Urban Interface inspectors, Emergency Response Crews, and the Community in order to keep the Fire District safe.
The Fuel Mitigation Division is committed to the safety of the community by assisting Emergency Response Crews during severe storms. Our team also maintains fire hydrants preemptively, so they are in fully operating function when they are needed in emergency conditions. Furthermore, Right of Way clearance and shaded fuel breaks are performed to minimize the intensity of a wildfire.
